Finding time to fit in a sandwich let alone a Zumba class is a struggle for many new mums and dads.
Plus if you’re trying to fit in work, household chores and everything else required in running a family home, getting back into shape after having a baby is often placed at the bottom of the priority list.
But there are some clubs across Surrey that allow parents to bring their children along with them, including babies, so you don’t have to give it up fitness completely.
From pilates and yoga to tone and strengthen your body, to aerobics, buggy fitness and bootcamp, there is a class to suit everyone.
Plus, it provides parents with an opportunity to meet other mums and dads, share experiences and make new friends. Some are geared just towards mums, but others are open to dads who want to get fit too.
These mother and children post-natal workout classes are for mums who want to get fit, active and be part of a supportive community.
Sessions are designed around children, with lots of toys, soft play mats and space to feed, change and cuddle.
Foam mats for babies and children to play on, changing mats with nappies and wet wipes are all provided at each class.
As well as the weekly classes, which are held in Woking, Godalming and Guildford, personal training is available for women who prefer individual coaching and involves a tailor-made workout plan, nutritional advice, day-to-day contact and support.
There is also a Funmums At Home online training program designed for busy mums, plus there is GymMummies. These classes are more advanced, small group training sessions in the gym.
