Grandma's Healthy Kids Club Founder Bev Grey Bev retired 8 years ago from her job as a sales and service manager for a major telecommunications company. Her favorite part of the job was planning different activities to help motivate employees to stay focused on company and personal goals. She also spent several years writing methods and procedures for service representatives.

After seeing all the recent media coverage about the epidemic of overweight children, an episode of Dr. Phil’s TV show gave her the idea to market this motivational package. Grandma’s Healthy Kids Club now has members in all 50 states, several provinces in Canada, and in Australia and the United Kingdom.

She made up a daily activity chart with healthy habits such as “eat 3 servings of vegetables”, “go to bed in time to get 9 hours of sleep”, and “get 30-60 minutes of exercise”. She then added other habits like “made bed; dirty clothes in hamper”, and “homework before TV or video games” and decided the chart would be helpful for any child, not just those who are overweight.
