The Madison Area YMCA recently received a $1,000 grant from Investors Foundation for teen programming. The Y provides a safe space for teens, a vitally important segment in our community’s population, to meet friends and socialize, participate in healthy habits and learn leadership skills.

“We are pleased and excited to have the support of Investors Bank for the teens in our community,” said Madison Area YMCA Senior Director of Organization Advancement Amie Herman. “This grant will help keep teen programming robust, exciting and dynamic while providing teens with a place they feel welcome and safe.”

The Y’s teen programming serves children in middle school through high school. The Boszhardt Family Teen Center features a supervised space for teens and pre-teens in grades 6-12. The Y’s 7thGrade Initiative provides teens with a foundation for healthy living through fitness, nutrition and after-school enrichment.
