OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Preschoolers at Washington Elementary School were encouraged to play with their food during a presentation on healthy eating by Max Lydiatt, a second-year medical student at UNMC.

The program is called Apples A Day.

Lydiatt designed the nutrition education project as a teaching tool to help children as young as three and four years old develop healthy eating habits from an early age.
