Beverly Hills, 90210, is back … and more meta than ever? The release of the reboot BH90210 has a lot of fans questioning what’s real and what’s fictional in the series. Namely, people are wondering who in the world these actors are actually married to IRL. For example, we’re guessing Nick Lachey isn’t too happy that some people think his wife Vanessa is married to her on-screen hubby Jason Priestley.

According to Tori Spelling, the actors are playing “fictional heightened versions of ourselves” on the show. Translation: The BH90210 characters are based on their real lives, but there are some key differences.

To unpack all of this, here’s a full breakdown of the real-life relationship statuses of each BH90210 star.

Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh)

On BH90210, Jason is married to Vanessa Lachey, but in real life, he’s married to fitness trainer Naomi Priestley (née Lowde).

Jason and Naomi met in London in 2001 and walked down the aisle four years later. Jason’s costars Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Tiffani Thiessen, and Tori Spelling were all in attendance. The couple welcomed their daughter Ava in 2007, and their son Dashiell was born in 2009.

Previously, Jason was married to makeup artist Ashlee Petersen.

Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor)

In the reboot, Jennie is dealing with a pending divorce, a situation that somewhat reflects her real life.

Her third husband, Dave Abrams, filed for divorce in April 2018 after less than three years of marriage. But unlike fictional BH90210 Jennie, real-life Jennie has reportedly reconciled with her husband as of February 2019. The couple met in 2014 on a blind date and were engaged just a few months later. Before Dave, Jennie was married to actor Peter Facinelli, and they had three daughters together.

Here’s an adorable photo she shared of Luca, 22, Lola, 16, and Fiona, 12:

During her 90210 days, however, Jennie was married to drummer Daniel B. Clark (1994–1996).

Tori Spelling (Donna Martin)

BH90210 Tori has six kids, which isn’t far off from her big family IRL. In reality, Tori shares five children with her husband Dean McDermott, who she’s been married to since 2006.

The couple first met in Ottawa in 2005 while filming the movie Mind Over Murder. The only hiccup? They were both married at the time. They subsequently separated from their respective spouses, and tied the knot the following year.

The couple’s first reality show, Tori & Dean: Inn Love, aired in 2007 and followed their experience running a B&B in California. They’ve had their share of ups and downs, including Dean’s extramarital affairs, stint in rehab, and financial woes.

Brian Austin Green (David Silver)

Contrary to the show, Brian isn’t married to La La Anthony — or a pop star. But, his IRL leading lady is a star in her own right: Megan Fox.

They first met on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004, and were engaged by November 2006. However, Megan and Brian broke it off in 2009, only to get engaged again the following year. They were married in 2010 and had sons Noah, 6, and Bodhi, 5. Fox filed for divorce in 2015, but months later, they shared that they were having a third child together. Ultimately, they reconciled and welcomed son Journey in 2016. Brian’s also dad to son Kassius Lijah Marcil-Green, 17, who he shares with ex Vanessa Marcil.

Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders)

Thankfully, Ian doesn’t have a fitness influencer wife who’s cheating on him. He’s actually married to nurse-turned-lifestyle influencer Erin Ziering.

After meeting in 2009, Ian and Erin tied the knot the following year. They have two daughters: 8-year-old Mia and 6-year-old Penna. Before, he was married to model Nikki Ziering from 1997–2002.

Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman)

Though she’s a new grandma in the reboot, Gabrielle isn’t quite there yet.

A couple of years into filming Beverly Hills, 90210, almost the entire cast showed up for her wedding to stockbroker Charles Isaacs in 1992. They’ve been married ever since, and share daughters Kelsey, 25, and Mollie, 20.

Mollie shared the sweet tribute to her parents above in honor of their 27th wedding anniversary.

Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh)

We didn’t get to see much of Shannen on the premiere episode, but she is currently married to film producer Kurt Iswarienko.

They’ve been married since 2011, and have been through a lot together, particularly during Shannen’s breast cancer treatment.

Previously, Shannen was briefly married to poker player Rick Salomon (2002–2003) and actor Ashley Hamilton (1993–1994).
