During a 2018 interview on Luxe Life with Candice Bar, Abraham discussed why she thought Teen Mom has done so well. The reality star said she thinks it’s because regular people can relate to the show. She said she knows people in their 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s who tell her they can relate to the experiences she went through. “I think it is such a relatable show, and I think that’s why it had the international success that it did. It is super great to be a part of that,” said Abraham.

Abraham usually looks carefree and happy, but she admits she does experience days where she feels down. She told Bar that therapy helps her a lot, so she makes it a regular part of her self-care routine:

I still do therapy. I did a lot of bereavement, a lot of loss, a lot of trauma, different therapies, because that’s kind of really what my body needed… Some days I feel like giving up and not waking up and doing things, and if I want to stay on this earth and be a great parent to Sophia—now I’m a mom and a dad to her—what do I need to do so I can do the best I can? And that was always continually to go to therapy.

Farrah Abraham says she loves her life

Although Abraham has experienced difficult times, she says she still loves her life. Her positive outlook can be seen in the photos she posts on Instagram. “Some things just really affected me, and I don’t think everyone is the same. It’s been really crazy; a learning experience. I love my life and I just have to live it the best I can,” Abraham said.

She doesn’t discuss this part of her life often, but Abraham said her faith plays a big part in her ability to move forward when the going gets tough. When asked by the host how she was able to survive after the death of Sophia’s father, Abraham said she remained strong because of her faith:

I think if I didn’t look at my life in the way I do, I don’t know if anything good could have come out of any of the choices I did. But I think me just being positive, optimistic, hard-working, and never giving up, and staying close to my faith helped me get to where I am today. I can’t just say I’m just so strong. I don’t even need to be strong; I think it’s really my faith.
